      To invite - приглашать (в гости)

      To make the phrase shorter you can say "he asked her out". This will mean the same as "he asked her to go out on a date with him".

    PS: Andrew, please, mind your grammar and spelling. "Very" is used only with adverbs and adjectives. With verbs we use "very much".
